The Equity Compensation Lifecycle: Designing and Delivering Awards that Matter

Join our panelists for a behind-the-scenes look at the creation, management, and utilization of equity awards. They will share the tips and traps you'll need to know when thinking about your equity programs, when you're introducing new programs to employees, and when employees become owners. They'll close the program with suggestions for an often overlooked part of the equity lifecycle, measuring the effectiveness of the awards.

Specific topics they'll cover include:

  • Establishing objectives for equity programs
  • Helping participants understand what they're getting and how awards are earned
  • Creating value for awards once they're vested
  • Measuring the effectiveness of equity programs


Audience: Compensation and benefits professionals from any size of company who are currently offering—or considering to offer—equity to their employees.



Susan Kicey

Susan Kicey is a Relationship Manager with Solium and is based remotely in Houston, Texas. In her role, she works to establish strong relationships with her clients ensuring Solium’s Shareworks platform is a successful tool to manage their equity programs for all the departments within the company that touch equity compensation.


Allan Klenke
Senior Vice President-Wealth Management
Senior Portfolio Manager, UBS

Upon joining the firm in 1992, Mr. Klenke became a financial advisor in Houston who helped pioneer the EPAS business for UBS.  His team is responsible for not only servicing client employees who participate in corporate sponsored equity compensation programs, but also delivering educational and wealth management programs to these employees.  As the team lead, Allan runs the fifteen member EPAS group that operates out of Houston, TX.  After only eight years as a financial advisor Allan achieved the distinction of Chairmen's Council which recognizes the top 220 financial advisors at UBS Financial Services Inc..  Most recently Mr. Klenke was named 2018 Financial Times 400 Top Financial Advisor.  Mr. Klenke has also previously served as the Director of EPAS Wealth Management Services for UBS with responsibility for the EPAS Advisor Network.


Kathi Greene
Manager, Compensation, Phillips 66

Kathi Greene is the Director of Global Compensation for Phillips 66, a diversified energy manufacturing and logistics company.  She has nearly 21 years of industry experience.  Before assuming her current role in 2015, Kathi held varying positions in the Finance and HR organizations at Phillips 66.  Kathi is the president of the Global Equity Organization Texas chapter and is active in many professional organizations focused on corporate compensation and employee benefits.  She earned her Accounting degree in 1995 from Harding University.
