Scholarship Testimonials
"With my Houston Compensation & Benefits Association scholarship, I was able to attend the Variable Pay (C12) course. My employer’s professional development budget is always limited because it is a small firm so the financial help to get this training is invaluable to me. I now have confidence in designing my own employee incentive programs and I was able to create a small network of contacts from course attendees on whom I can tap for advice and anecdotal support. This is what makes my work credible. For me, classroom learning is priceless. Thank you, HC&B!"

"I consider myself really lucky to have been chosen for the 2015 Houston C&B Scholarship. I am really grateful for the generosity. It enabled me to finish my certification faster. I will be acquiring the CBP certification this year. Without the scholarship it would have taken me a year longer."
Annie D.
"Because of HC&B’s scholarship I was able to gain valuable insight and further my personal career in compensation and benefits. I would not be in a position to make a difference within my organization if it was not for the stewardship and opportunity that HC&B provided."

"The scholarship was a gift I could not pass up. Since I already had my CCP, I applied the funds as a springboard to ACCP designation by taking the prerequisite Business Acumen course. The application process was quick and easy. And my management was thrilled that the budget remained untapped. I encourage anyone seeking certification status to seize the opportunity and take advantage of the HC&B award."

“I wanted to express my gratitude to the Houston Compensation and Benefits Association, and its sponsors, for making the Certification Scholarship program available to members! As a recent recipient of a scholarship, I think it’s important that other members recognize the opportunity that was created for them! In my experience, I found the application process simple and straight-forward. Plus, the Association’s flexibility of applying scholarship award dollars towards my CCP coursework was quite helpful! I was able to complete two CCP courses through self-study at the cost of one classroom course!"
"I would strongly urge any member, serious about their role in compensation or benefits, to take the time and apply for the scholarship when it is announced again, next year! There’s a good chance you might be selected!”
Josh N.
"The scholarship from Houston Compensation and Benefits allowed me to take the Quantitative Methods course toward my CCP. As we all know it can be hard to gather the necessary funds to pay for these valuable courses. I'm so thankful that HC&B helped to further my career through this scholarship opportunity!"

"I applied for the HC&B scholarship last fall. Once I received the notice that I was selected for the scholarship award, I chose the class of my interest and the team registered me immediately. The entire process was seamless! The WorldatWork materials were relevant and the instructor allowed open, practical discussions that was beneficial in understanding the information."
"I would definitely apply for the Scholarship again!"
